With a gain of 13 dB, the XPA125B amplifier is the ideal amplifier for a 5 watt transmitter when a 100 watt output is required. The XPA125B's automatic antenna tuner and power amplifier units can each be utilised alone as a power amplifier or an automatic antenna tuner. In the HF bands 1,8-30 MHz and 6 metre band 50-54 MHz, the tuner can handle loads of 14 to 500 ohms. To maintain the security of the amplifier and linked transceiver, the XPA125B incorporates a number of clever protective circuits. The amplifier enters bypass mode and flashes an alert when abnormal operating conditions such as excessive SWR, excessive driving power, or high temperature occur.
